Shen Zhixia, an orphaned general's daughter, infiltrates the palace under a false name to avenge her family—framed and killed by a powerful minister. By chance, she saves Chu Zhao, the third prince who pretends to be a dissolute playboy but is secretly plotting against the corrupt official. From mutual exploitation to growing affection, they face the queen's schemes and concubines' traps while gathering evidence. When Shen finally kills her enemy, her identity is exposed and she's in mortal danger. But Chu Zhao steps up firmly: "I never wanted the throne. All I desire is to guard our jade-like original heart with you, across this vast land." A sweet romance wrapped in palace intrigue and revenge begins.
