Lin Xiaochuan, a sprint prodigy, was on the verge of qualifying for the Olympics when he received news of a flash flood in his hometown—his mother was trapped in the old house. He resolutely gave up the competition and rushed home, risking his life to save his mother, only to be labeled an "ungrateful deserter" by public opinion and even expelled from the team. With his mother in a coma from severe injuries, Lin worked odd jobs to take care of her while secretly training in the park. Mockery from former opponents and abuse from netizens flooded in. Until his mother woke up, clutching his old running shoes and saying, "You should run back to the arena." Lin reignited his fighting spirit. Half a year later, he participated in the National Championships as an amateur, surpassing all doubts at the finish line and proving with the championship: What's heavier than a gold medal is the duty of a child; what's faster than speed is the courage to never give in.
