Lin Xiaoman, a 996 office worker, relies on the midnight last bus to carry her exhaustion every night—until she finds that the bus never stops at familiar stations: a woman in a red dress is always searching for her child, a man with glasses keeps writing a report with no words, and Shen Yan, the man in a dark green windbreaker, looks exactly like her boyfriend who died saving her five years ago. When the loop countdown begins, Lin Xiaoman is shocked to learn: Shen Yan's soul has been trapped in the last bus since the car accident to protect her, while her company's "Soul Ferry" project is trying to devour these trapped souls. She must awaken Shen Yan's memory, break the loop within 30 days, and snatch her lover back from the company's schemes. This bus, filled with eeriness and deep love, is both a cage of love and a battlefield for her to counterattack and break the game.
