Lin Chuan, an ordinary antique shop assistant, is constantly exploited and ridiculed. Until his grandfather hands him the family's ancestral "Antique Appraisal Notes" on his deathbed. That night, he awakens a special ability: touching a broken porcelain piece allows him to see the temperature of a Ming Dynasty craftsman's kiln; touching an old copper lock lets him hear the heartbeat of a Republic of China merchant hiding account books. Using this ability, he rises from a nobody to the "Treasure Hunting Saint" in the circle. However, his grandfather's hidden secret hits him: the Lin family was once hunted by an antique gang for protecting a fragment of "A Thousand Li of Rivers and Mountains". Now, the gang wants him to find the fragment, and Su Xiao, the daughter of a cultural relic expert saved by his grandfather, also comes with clues. Torn between fame and fortune and the mission of family inheritance, he is drawn into the undercurrent of the treasure-hunting world.
