Lin Wanqing, a designer at a struggling cultural and creative studio, takes on a collaboration with a top real estate group to save her studio, only to accidentally offend Gu Jinshen—the CEO rumored to be "cold enough to freeze contracts." She expects the collaboration to fall through, but instead, Gu not only keeps the investment but also forcefully makes her his "exclusive consultant." When she's framed by a plagiarist, he stays up all night to find her original manuscripts and clear her name; when she works late, he leaves warm coffee and a "Don’t stay up" note. It isn’t until Gu murmurs "I still owe you for the milk tea three years ago" after drinking that Wanqing realizes: the girl who gave a stranger warm milk tea in a rainstorm has been his "obsession" for three years. All those "deliberate difficulties" were just his unspoken "wanting to be close."
