Su Xiao, a new designer bullied at work, accidentally saves the comatose CEO Gu Xizhou on a rainy night, only to be accused of “causing the accident” and forced to sign a six-month “personal assistant” contract. Gu Xizhou seems cold and difficult on the surface, but secretly helps Su Xiao get back at her oppressive boss and anonymously sends her top-tier design materials. Su Xiao goes from resistance to realizing that this man in a tailored suit will make ginger tea for her when she works overtime and stand up for her when she’s questioned. When Su Xiao’s design hits the fashion week runway, Gu Xizhou holds a custom ring and smiles: “That day, it wasn’t the wind—it was my heart that couldn’t stop beating the moment I saw you crouching in the rain to shield me from cars.”
