Agonizing Love tells the torturous romance between urban tycoon Shen Xiujin and down-and-out girl Jian Tong. Three years ago, Jian Tong was accused of killing Shen Xiujin's sister, becoming his 'caged plaything' and enduring cold violence and physical-mental torture. Three years later, the truth emerges: the real culprit is Shen Xiujin's childhood sweetheart, and Jian Tong has lost her ability to bear children due to pain. When Shen Xiujin finally wakes up to his feelings and tries to make amends, Jian Tong flees with scars all over. In the finale, they reunite in an old warehouse on a rainy night—on one side is Shen Xiujin's heart-wrenching confession, on the other is the sleeping pills Jian Tong hides in her sleeve. Can this belated redemption resolve the bone-deep hatred?
