Lin Xiaoman, a sugar painting artist in an old alley, lives in the house left by her grandfather. She is abandoned by her scumbag ex-boyfriend Chen Mo for "not being good enough for a wealthy family," and her cousin Lin Yue steals her house and frames her for "killing her grandfather." Until she finds her grandfather's old wooden box and discovers she is the heir to the "Shan Hai Lu"—able to use sugar paintings to awaken the memories of ordinary life in old objects. When she restores the century-old vitality of the old alley with sugar paintings, she not only exposes Lin Yue's lies but also makes Chen Mo regret deeply and beg for reconciliation. And Gu Huai, the antique shop owner who has been silently helping her, finally confesses his feelings hidden for three years: "You guard the warmth of ordinary life, I guard you."
