In the late 1990s, Su Wanqing, daughter of the wealthiest man, disguises herself as a migrant worker to escape a business marriage and hides in Erlong Lake. She meets Hao, a rough fisherman who makes a living by raising fish—his straightforwardness and kindness win her heart. Wanqing puts down her heiress pride to chase him madly: gifting a color TV, helping sell fish, even staying up late to knit a sweater. But Hao, like a cold stone, rejects all her advances—turns out he was abandoned by his city girlfriend for being poor and swore off “rich people.” Wanqing also has a secret: she’s been using her pocket money to build a village school, never flaunting her status. When Wanqing’s fiancé arrives with bodyguards, Hao snaps—pulling out a dusty family recognition letter: he’s the long-lost illegitimate son of the Huo family! As their “identity scams” unravel, will this woman-chases-man drama finally lead to mutual love?
