Lin Qiuyue, an orphan from poor Yunding Village, finds a mute boy DouDou who can “listen to the mountains” — he can read the produce, water sources and secrets of the woods. Lin explores the mountains with DouDou, paving a poverty-alleviation path via rare herbs and ancient mountain springs. But after the secret leaks, treasure-hunting businessmen harass frequently, involving an unsolved old mine case of previous generations. She must protect DouDou and lead villagers to guard their ancestral mountains, unearthing millennial secrets amid family and interest conflicts, finally turning the whole village around.
