The ancient Taotie cub Xiaotang was abandoned by her biological parents as a 'monster' due to her insatiable appetite. Wandering the streets, she stumbles into the mansion of Princess Shen Zhao, the Kingdom Protector rumored to 'bring misfortune to all relatives'. Expecting to be chased away, she’s instantly favored by Shen Zhao—this little milk bun clinging to her leg begging for osmanthus cake can easily devour the evil spirit plaguing her for a decade! Since then, the mansion launches a 'full feeding mode': the imperial chef makes new pastries daily, hidden guards sneak spiritual fruits, and even the stern old butler hides candied treats. Just as Xiaotang finds home, her birth parents show up, claiming to 'take back their daughter' and accusing the mansion of 'kidnapping'. Little do they know, Xiaotang’s Taotie blood has awakened, and Shen Zhao—who’s notoriously protective—will never let her family be wronged.
