Female lawyer Su Wanning takes on a bizarre medical malpractice case, only to find the defendant is the hospital where her boyfriend, cardiac surgeon Gu Jingchuan, works. As she digs deeper, she discovers the evidence points to Gu Jingchuan's "operation failure" and even links to her father's death three years ago. Torn between her lover's gentle defense and the "ironclad evidence" of his "crime," Su Wanning faces a trust crisis. When she finally tracks down the mastermind, she's shocked to learn Gu Jingchuan had long set up a "hunt"—he deliberately drew her into the case to expose the hospital's hidden human experiment scandal. Their love, it turns out, was an "accident" in his "scheme." When the truth comes out, is it the hunter who caught the prey, or love that tamed them both?
