Lin Chuan, an intern at an antique appraisal shop, was wrongfully fired for "swapping antiques" after refusing to help his colleagues scam a client. His girlfriend of three years also left him for a wealthy playboy. At his lowest point, he gains a bizarre ability—he can "see" fakes "confess": a fake jade Buddha displays "resin-spliced" marks, a counterfeit ancient painting reveals its pigment is from last year. Using this power, he helps an old street vendor outsmart a scammer and gets a lost ancient manuscript as a gift; he then humiliates his ex by exposing the playboy's fake imperial kiln vase at the antique market. Worse, he discovers his former colleague (who framed him) is part of an international fake antique syndicate plotting a billion-yuan scam with a fake "Qianlong Imperial Seal". And his ability is linked to his grandfather, who vanished a decade ago? A counterattack journey of exposing scams and reclaiming family ties with his power has just begun.
