Su Wan, a reclusive transnational CEO, hid in the mountains for three years to escape her scumbag ex and corporate schemes—only to become the apprentice of a meddlesome old urchin master. One day, the master bombs her with a message: "Disciple, hurry back! I've found you a wife!" Forced to return, Su Wan discovers the "wife" is Gu Huai—the cold CEO who saved her years ago, her alter-ego company's partner, and her ex's mortal enemy. Just as she's adjusting, her ex shows up with a new fling, mocking her as a "mountain hermit" and stealing her core project. Su Wan drops her "cute disciple" act, unleashes her CEO identity, and crushes her ex. But here's the twist: Gu Huai knew her secret all along, and her master's "matchmaking" is a plot to uncover the truth about her parents' death three years ago. As Su Wan navigates the master's meddling, her ex's revenge, and Gu Huai's quiet affection, she stops running—faces her past, and finds mutual love.
