On her 30th birthday, Lin Xiaoman’s life collapses—she just got laid off and learns her first love is getting married. Hiding in an old alley, crying beside a rusty mailbox, she touches a letter addressed to “Xiaoman in 2018.” When she looks up, she’s suddenly back in the summer of her college graduation: sycamore leaves drift outside her favorite milk tea shop, and the man in a white shirt holding hot cocoa is Lu Jingshen—the man she missed in her past life due to inferiority. In her previous life, she thought Lu Jingshen, the heir to a listed company, was just flirting—until she saw him at a press conference saying, “I’ve waited for someone for ten years,” realizing she’d lost her lifelong light. This time, she decides to take the initiative, but Lu Jingshen seems ready: he hands her her favorite taro ball milk tea and blurts out the secret she’d hidden in her past life: “Xiaoman, this time, let me catch you first.” It turns out Lu Jingshen also has past-life memories? Their mutual pursuit holds a “preplanned” sweetness across time—and that mysterious letter? It’s a “time-space confession” from the future Lu Jingshen to the past her. A sweet love that spans a decade starts anew this summer.
