Lin Xiaoman, a young chef, makes a living selling "Meng Po's Soup Wontons" in the night market. However, her ability to "taste the obsessions of wandering spirits" draws the attention of the Underworld—her long-lost father is actually the King of Hell! To force her to inherit his throne, Dad sends Gu Zhao, a cold-faced Underworld judge, to "supervise" her closely. But after tasting Xiaoman's wontons, Gu Zhao hides a secret: his soul is on the verge of dissipating. When Xiaoman discovers that Gu Zhao's fate is bound to her ability, and when Dad's "test" turns into a deadly hunt, can a bowl of wontons bridge their love across yin and yang, and unravel the 300-year-old feud between father and daughter?
