Lin Xiaoman, a recent graduate who just lost her job, is in despair when her grandma falls critically ill. Then Gu Shen, a mysterious man claiming to be her "godfather", appears and solves all her problems—paying the huge surgery bill, gifting her a luxury house and car, and even conjuring gold coins out of thin air or understanding cat language! It turns out Gu Shen is an alien tycoon stranded on Earth, needing to find the "Star Core" to fix his spaceship, which is actually linked to Xiaoman's origin.
