Wu Siyu quits her urban white-collar job to guard her late grandma's old alley grocery store, only to face doubled rent and a trendy convenience store stealing customers. Then Lin Chuan, the top student she once gave a warm milk tea to in high school, suddenly returns, insisting on "working for free" in the store. While helping Wu Siyu revive the business with "nostalgic snack blind boxes" and a "community mutual-aid shelf," he quietly resolves conflicts with the tricky landlord. When the grocery becomes the neighbors' "emotional gas station," Lin Chuan takes out the unsent love letter from years ago: "I didn't study business abroad to save your store—I studied to turn 'your store' into 'our home.'" It turns out he left back then just to save money to help her keep this "gift from grandma."
