Lin Wan, a grassroots lawyer, is framed for bribery while fighting for migrant workers' wage arrears. In desperation, she binds to the "Justice Retrospection System"—which lets her go back to key moments to rewrite the truth, but at the cost of forgetting someone important. She uses the system to track down the collusion between a real estate tycoon and a corrupt judge, and reunites with Gu Chuan, a reporter who died in a previous life while helping her investigate the case. When the truth is about to come to light, the system presents an ultimate choice: choose justice and forget Gu Chuan forever, or keep the memories and let the truth remain hidden. Lin Wan risks everything to expose the scandal, only to find that the "cost" was a test of her original intention—Gu Chuan was never forgotten, and both justice and love finally prevail in the sunlight.
