A modern youth Su Xiao triggers a mysterious space-time switch while working overtime, swapping identities with Fusu from the Qin Dynasty, and Emperor Qinshihuang also descends on modern city. The three create many jokes and conflicts in time-space dislocation: Su Xiao has to protect Fusu from ancient power struggles, while Qinshihuang uses imperial strategies and forward-looking insights to solve modern infrastructure problems, even trying to subvert the established tragedy of Fusu's suicide. Along the way, they form cross-time emotional bonds, facing dual tests from ancient followers and modern crises. Whether they can rewrite history becomes their common life-and-death answer.
