Lin Yang, an orphaned village boy who makes a living growing vegetables, is called a "good-for-nothing" by his ex-fiancée's family and even forced to sell his homestead by the village bully. One night, he saves a mysterious old man and inherits the ancient medical book Huangdi Neijing—granting him the ability to identify herbs, unblock meridians, and even revive the dying! He first cures the old village head who's been bedridden for a decade, shocking the village. Then he uses acupuncture to expose Butcher Zhang's chronic injury, making him kneel and apologize. He even uncovers the town hospital "expert's" fake medicine scam, fighting for justice for the villagers. When his ex-fiancée tries to reconcile, he humiliates her publicly. Just as a wealthy city heiress arrives with her critically ill grandfather, Lin Yang discovers a bigger secret behind the inheritance...
