Down-to-the-countryside intellectual Lin Xiaochuan returns to Taohua Village to fulfill his grandfather's last wish and inherit the old Chinese medicine clinic. To his surprise, the jade pendant left by his grandfather hides a spiritual spring that can cure incurable diseases. He uses the spring to save the grandmother of Su Xiaomei, a village beauty suffering from a severe illness, but this attracts the covetous eyes of Zhou Fugui, a ruthless pharmaceutical businessman. Zhou not only wants to seize the spiritual spring but also frames Lin for "using sorcery to harm people," inciting villagers to boycott the clinic. Faced with the crisis of guarding the spiritual spring's secret, villagers' misunderstandings, and the villain's schemes, can Lin prove himself with his medical skills and protect his grandfather's legacy? And what twists will the relationship between Lin and Su—from misunderstanding to mutual understanding—take amid the struggle for the spiritual spring?
