Su Xiao, a 30-something corporate slave, faces double blows on New Year's Eve—getting fired and being pressured to marry. Late at night, an anonymous link pops up on her phone: "Complete 3 New Year tasks to win a million ghostly fortune." Desperate, she takes the offer, but the tasks turn increasingly eerie: when delivering dumplings to her late grandma, the grandma "comes back to life" and asks her to find her old lover from 50 years ago; while guarding a lonely elderly man, she finds an old photo in his drawer with a little girl who looks exactly like her; the third task is even more absurd—"Find yourself from last year." As the truth unfolds, Su Xiao realizes all "ghostly events" are linked to her repressed childhood trauma: she missed her grandma's last moments due to rebellion, and her parents left her with grandma for work… The mastermind behind the game? Her own subconscious, desperate to make amends. When she finally faces her past, she understands the "ghostly fortune" isn't a million dollars—it's redeeming the self she lost.
