Lin Shen and Chen Mo, sworn brothers raised in "Fuxing Zhai" (a walled village on the urban-rural fringe), take divergent paths: Lin stays as a village doctor guarding the old village's warmth, while Chen returns as a real estate developer driving redevelopment. When the childhood "twin heroes of the village" become rivals in "demolition vs. protection," a 20-year-old secret hidden in the old village walls—the girl they saved together, the accident that killed Chen's father—resurfaces. To tear down memories for progress, or preserve roots for a new life? Their struggle encapsulates all the warmth and complexity of the village, and the ultimate choice about "home."
