Lin Xiaoman, a descendant of a hidden metaphysical clan, goes down the mountain to earn merit. Her first client is Gu Jingshen, a CEO haunted by evil spirits—"You'll die at midnight tonight. Transfer 100,000 to change your fate." Gu Jingshen stares at the little girl in a Taoist robe with a ponytail, dismissing her as a scammer. Until 2:50 a.m., when his office chandelier crashes and his coffee cup shatters, he transfers the money in a panic. From then on, CEO Gu gains a "personal metaphysical consultant": he takes her to calculate directions for business deals, asks her to read faces for rivals, and even queries, "Is this milk tea conflicting with any evil?" before sipping. But slowly, he realizes her compass doesn't point to fortune or misfortune—it points to the direction of his heartbeat. Turns out, the so-called "changing fate" is changing his destiny of dying alone. And Lin Xiaoman has no idea that the merit she's after is the true love Gu Jingshen has hidden for twenty years.
