Su Wan, an ordinary fashion assistant, works tirelessly to save her critically ill grandma, only to face injustice—her colleague steals her work, and her boss makes things difficult. When she's at her lowest, she bumps into Gu Chengyuan, the 'cold-faced CEO' rumored to 'calculate the cost of every smile.' To her surprise, this man, who seems to have no warmth, immediately recognizes her as the little girl who gave him half a fruit candy a decade ago. Back then, he was kidnapped and stranded on the street; Su Wan, with her only candy, told him, 'Don't be scared, I'll protect you,' and his reply, 'I'll take care of you when I grow up,' became a promise he hid in his heart for ten years. Now reunited, Gu transforms into a 'wife-protecting madman': he stands up to her work-stealing colleague, helps her win the design competition, and even secretly arranges the best doctor for her grandma. But Su Wan mistakes him for a 'capitalist buying memories with money.' When the truth comes to light, the little boy who once cried in her arms has grown into a man who can shield her from all storms—and their promise finally turns into a lifetime of sweetness.
