Three years ago, Lin Wan's sister Lin Yan died in an "accidental" fire, leaving only a burnt recorder—its "voice in the ashes" became an unsolved mystery. Lin Wan was then framed by her brother-in-law Gu Jingshen, losing her voice and being labeled an "arsonist". Three years later, she infiltrates the Gu Group as a mute woman "A Wan", using fragmented clues from the recorder to outmaneuver Gu Jingshen and his stepsister Lin Rou, while reuniting with her ex-lover, detective Chen Mo. When the recorder's full content is restored, the hidden power-money deals and family betrayals emerge—Lin Yan's death was a premeditated "script". Lin Wan's mission: use the "ashes" to burn away darkness and reclaim her voice and light.
