Lin Xiaoman, an art student who has secretly loved school heartthrob Gu Shiyan for three years with her sketchbook, finally gathers courage to hand him a love letter in midsummer graduation season—only to find him on the moonlit rooftop with the school beauty. Rumors say Gu is going abroad; she hides behind a cherry tree and tears up the sketchbook full of his profiles, missing the crumpled love letter in his hand and his flushed ears when he turns. After the graduation party, Gu blocks her in an alley with the glued sketchbook. Moonlight spills over his uniform as he trembles: "Your 37th sketch of me—I've kept it in my notebook for half a year..." Those secret gazes, playground peeks, and misplaced library seats were all hidden in midsummer moonlight by him, turning into a mutual "I like you too."
