In the early Republic of China, Su Wantang, the young mistress of the Ye family in Qingchuan Town, was framed for adultery by her stepsister right after her wedding. Her husband Ye Jingchen believed the lie, imprisoned her in the woodshed, and even allowed his stepmother to force her to take an abortion pill—she lost her child and dignity. Three years later, she returns as "Yue Niang" with the support of a chamber of commerce, determined to uncover the truth: her stepsister's hypocrisy, her mother-in-law's schemes, and the true face of the "white moonlight" beside Ye Jingchen. When Ye Jingchen finds out all the old evidence was forged, he regrets deeply, helping her confront the scumbags while chasing his lost love. Amid revenge, they rediscover each other, finally settling scores with their enemies and reclaiming the love stolen by fate.
