Lin Wan, an intern designer, spilled coffee on the "cold CEO" Gu Siyan on a rainy August day. She thought her career was over, but Gu didn't blame her—instead, he kept finding ways to get close: giving her a custom umbrella, defending her from workplace bullying, and bringing warm taro ball porridge when she worked overtime.
