In the dormitory of a state-owned machinery factory in Northeast China in 1993, bankrupt middle-aged man Lin Chuan woke up holding a fruit can from his mother's deathbed—he's reborn! In his past life, he missed the business opportunity of the factory's scrapped trainer plane and lived in misery. This time, he risks everything to trade the can for the plane wreckage, disassembles rare titanium parts, and earns his first pot of gold. But the factory director's son frames him for "stealing factory property" and wants to send him to the police. Su Xiaoyun, the factory flower, though skeptical of his "madness", secretly helps hide the key parts. What's more shocking? His mother's "accidental death" is linked to the factory's secrets... A can starts his counterattack—will he get rich, or uncover the blood and tears of the era?
