The Lin family ran a traditional char siu shop with an ancestral secret recipe, until the stepfather colluded with outsiders to seize the shop and formula, driving Lin's daughter and her father away. Homeless, the daughter found an old charcoal stove in the back alley, recreated a more delicious char siu with her mother's notes, and attracted mysterious customers and her childhood friend for help. She started a street stall, fought against her stepfather to regain everything, uncovered the hidden truth, and gained true love along her road to success.
