On the lounge chair of Hongqi Courtyard in the old town, a "sleeping beauty" wrapped in an old sweater suddenly appeared—she hadn’t woken up for three straight days. Neighbors gossiped: she was a debt runner, a family seeker, or even a "pengci artist" (someone who fakes accidents to extort money). Xiao Lu, the courtyard’s warm-hearted repairman, couldn’t help but be curious. He brought her hot porridge and covered her with blankets every day. Until one night, he caught her secretly rummaging through the concierge’s old mailbox, clutching a yellowed photo—it was him as a kid and his childhood friend A Ruan with pigtails! It turns out the girl is A Ruan, who went missing in a car accident ten years ago. She lost her memory and only remembered the courtyard’s old locust tree and "Brother Xiao Lu’s" promise. She pretended to sleep because she was afraid to face the past. When Xiao Lu trembled and called out "A Ruan," the girl turned around, and sunlight spots from the old locust tree fell on her face—just like the summer ten years ago.
