In the Republican era, struggling painter Shen Mo discovers a mysterious portrait of a lady in an antique shop - the spitting image of the woman from his dreams. On full moon nights, the painted woman named Lin Yue emerges, revealing she's the ghost of a wronged noblewoman from a century ago. Their timeless love is threatened when the antique dealer uncovers the painting's secret to immortality.
