Gu Wanqi marries Fu Jingchuan, her late sister's husband and a ruthless business tycoon, as a "contract wife" to avenge her sister's wrongful death. For seven years, she pretends to be gentle and plots step by step to expose Fu Jingchuan's role in her sister's murder. But on the seventh year's moonlit night, Fu Jingchuan suddenly pins her to the bed and pulls out a yellowed old contract: "Wanwan, do you really think your revenge plan was your own doing?" It turns out that behind her sister's death, Fu Jingchuan harbors the same suppressed grief—he has known her motives all along, even quietly removed obstacles for her, waiting for her to let go of hatred and see her true feelings. When the arrow of revenge points at the one she loves and the mask of pretense is torn off, the seventh year of this "contract couple" will echo with the most intense passion and the most agonizing truth.
