Zhang Chi, a teenager who lost his memory in an accident, meets Jiang Zhi, a woman trapped by past trauma. Surprisingly, they are bound by a mysterious "seven-day vitality"—every seventh day, their emotions and memory fragments uncontrollably interweave. Zhang Chi wants to use this bond to recover his memory, but Jiang Zhi flees desperately from her painful past. As they pull each other, their obsessions unfold: Zhang Chi's amnesia hides an unfulfilled promise with Jiang Zhi, while Jiang Zhi's trauma stems from guilt over a past missed chance. When the cicada chirps on the seventh day sound again, can they untie their knots and walk toward redemption together?
