Lin Xiaoman, an overworked office worker, takes the last subway train home every day after overtime until she meets Gu Shiyan—he wears silver-rimmed glasses, holds a kitten, and his gentle look while petting the cat makes her heart skip. But just as she’s about to talk to him, the subway jerks, spilling her hot milk tea on his shirt. She runs away, thinking her "one-glance crush" is over. Then the next day, the new "ice-cold director" is none other than Gu Shiyan! Worse, he hangs the tea-stained shirt in his office and smiles: "Assistant Lin, wanna wash this?" Next, the ice director becomes a "subway companion"—grabbing seats, bringing hot porridge, even leaving his cat with her, saying: "The cat likes your milk tea scent." Until one subway ride, Gu Shiyan takes out a rose: "I also had a crush that day. I became your boss so you wouldn’t run." Turns out, the crush was never one-sided.
