In the turbulent land of Northeast China in 1946, Lin Ye, a sniper from a hunter family, is targeted by forces from all sides for his superb marksmanship. Kuomintang remnants want to use him to assassinate underground liaison officers, while the Communist underground observes his stance. To find his younger sister who was separated from him, Lin Ye is dragged into the chaos: he must hide from pursuers in the jungle and hesitate between life-and-death choices—rely on powerful forces for shelter or risk his life to protect his family.
