In the 1990s, Lin Jinxiu, a girl from Northeast China, returned to her hometown to start a business with her family's Manchurian embroidery craft after being laid off from a state-owned enterprise. She intended to build a unique life with this splendid craft, but faced doubts from conservative villagers and her former friend's departure for a better life, falling into a low point. Until her childhood friend who worked outside brought new market ideas, they jointly developed a Northeast characteristic embroidery brand, only to be maliciously excluded by competitors. Amid the harsh winter and realistic tests, she stitched out a counterattack splendid life with fine needles and threads.
