Dark Myth of Dongguan

A young migrant worker named A Ming came to Dongguan to pay off his debts. One night in Humen's old alley, he picked up a dark jade carved with ancient Lingnan patterns. Ever since, bizarre things have followed him: the late-night dessert shop only sells longevity cakes inscribed with ghostly characters, lost Cantonese opera tunes drift through the rental building corridors, and a cloth doll with centipede patterns crawls out of his wardrobe. He stumbles into a long-forgotten local dark myth of Dongguan: the vengeful spirit of a craftsman buried alive during the construction of the Kowloon-Canton Railway is reviving with the resentment of the garment factory assembly lines. The jade is the key to breaking the spirit's seal. A Ming has only seven days to find the last surviving witness, or he will become the spirit's next sacrifice.
