Gu Chuan, a reclusive demon hunter, guards the city against evil spirits. On a mission, he meets Su Wan, a fox spirit who reincarnated to avenge her wrongful death—she was a young fox from Qingqiu, framed and killed by villains in her past life, and now returns to seek justice. Gu Chuan initially plans to eliminate her by the hunter's code, but discovers Su Wan has a pure spiritual vein and never harmed anyone; she even saves him from danger multiple times. As they team up to uncover the truth of her past, dark forces hidden beneath the city emerge. Gu Chuan also falls for this bold, passionate fox spirit. Torn between his lifelong demon-hunting belief and deepening love, how will they break the barrier between humans and spirits?
