Ah Fa, a small-town barber, clings to his father’s old barbershop "Fu Fa"—even as a trendy salon pushes him to the brink of closure. He refuses to adapt, until an amnesiac old man storms in, insisting on a "40-year-old middle part"—his father’s signature style. When Ah Fa recreates it from vague memories, the man bursts into tears, yelling "Ah Fu" (his father’s name). Turns out he’s a real estate tycoon who was once helped by Ah Fa’s father and came back to repay the favor. But Ah Fa rejects his money, saying, "I need to keep Dad’s craft alive." Unexpectedly, a customer films the story and posts it online. Youngsters from the trendy salon start coming to learn the old craft, and "Fu Fa" becomes a "nostalgia check-in spot." Ah Fa finally realizes: the real "hair fortune" is passing on the warmth of "hair" (craft), and wealth is just a bonus.
