Lin Xiaoman, a small-town girl fond of traditional Chinese opera, is accidentally selected as a backup dancer for the opera segment of the Spring Festival Gala. However, she loses the jade pendant engraved with opera lines from her grandma before rehearsal—her only token to fulfill her gala dream. Panicking, she bursts into the studio of Shen Xingci, the gala’s stage designer, misunderstanding that he hid her pendant. During their quarrel, they find their shared obsession with opera.
