However, he accidentally discovers—her father is the "Star Chaser" he admired years ago, while he himself has long abandoned his dream of writing about stars due to reality. When they fix the dusty telescope and finally see a meteor in the early morning, Xiaoman cries, "Dad, I caught your star!" Lu Xingyao hands her a cup of hot cocoa and whispers, "We caught it together." It turns out the answer to "the stars shine for no one" is—those who hold on for the stars will eventually become each other's light.
