Ordinary maintenance worker Zhou Lei picks up an old hammer engraved with mysterious patterns at a construction site, only to find that making a wish with it triggers absurd chain reactions. He wants to help Sister Lin, the noodle shop owner who often cares for him, resolve her debt troubles, but accidentally turns the soup base into a "magic soup" that forces everyone to tell the truth. Diners expose their secrets on the spot, the debtor turns hostile immediately, and even his secret crush on Sister Lin is made public. When a retired old mechanic comes to reclaim the hammer, Zhou Lei learns it's just a faulty experimental device. This farce finally gives him the courage to confess his love and resolves the noodle shop's crisis by accident.
