Living on a remote coastal island, forest ranger Lin Wan has waited five years for her fiancé Chen Yu, an ocean captain who vanished during a storm. Each high tide, she plays the whistle melody they once made as a vow, hoping to call her lost love back. One day, a cargo ship flying an old family ship's emblem docks at the island, and its captain bears an uncanny resemblance to Chen Yu. He brings a recovered sunken ship's log that uncovers the man-made conspiracy behind the "accident", forcing Lin Wan to confront her long-buried affection and the hidden truths that separated them for years.
