Shen Qiwu, daughter of the Prime Minister, was betrothed to Lin Yanzhi, a poor scholar, since childhood. They vowed to marry once Lin topped the imperial exam. But Lin vanished after heading to the capital for the test. To curry favor with the Northern Town Prince, Qiwu's father forced her into a marriage with the prince. Convinced Lin would never break their pact, Qiwu disguised herself and fled to find him—only to discover Lin was now the prince's trusted adviser, even helping plan the marriage proposal. Devastated, she uncovered the prince's dark secret: he was the one who framed and slaughtered Lin's family years prior. Lin had been biding his time with the enemy to avenge his kin, too scared to reveal the truth to Qiwu. Trapped between misunderstood devotion and a tightening conspiracy, can the pair uphold their "Wutong Vow"?
