Su Wan, daughter of a general's family, was wiped out due to a framed injustice. She化名Jingchen and lurked in Foguang Temple, disguising as a young nun to investigate the case and plot revenge. Gu Zhao, a powerful minister, made a 'contract marriage' deal with Su Wan—offering to redress her injustice in exchange for breaking the 'wife-killer' rumor spread by his political enemies. After marriage, they each had their own agendas: Su Wan wanted to use Gu Zhao's power to find the real culprit; Gu Zhao needed Su Wan's 'Buddhist fate' to cover his tracks of investigating rebels. But as the truth nears, Su Wan discovers Gu Zhao is inextricably linked to her family's annihilation—Is he the enemy's son, or an ally in the dark? When the sword of revenge points at each other, is their contract marriage just a show, or have they already fallen in love?
