Lin Xiaoman, an perpetually unlucky woman, is suddenly hit by the "Lucky Star System" one day—she must earn 1000 merit points by live-streaming fortune-telling to help others solve troubles before she can turn her bad luck around. Reluctantly, she starts her live stream. Her first client is a working mom cheated on; she intended to comfort her but accidentally uncovers the truth that "the mistress is her best friend". Then she helps a bankrupt programmer retrieve tampered project code, and her reputation soars. But the system’s tasks grow stranger: helping an elderly man find his daughter missing for 30 years, with clues pointing to her late mother? As merit points rise, Lin realizes the so-called "lucky star descending" is actually a two-way journey of redemption.
