Su Xiao, an advertising planner stuck in a career slump, picks up a cute kid named Xiaofu who claims to be a "Fortune Messenger". Overnight, her life turns around—proposals get approved instantly, clients seek her out, and even cold colleagues become friendly. Just as Su Xiao regains her confidence, Xiaofu suddenly says he needs to "return to his planet to report". Frantic, she searches the city and finds him in the park where they first met. Holding the lucky charm she'd lost earlier, Xiaofu smiles: "Your good fortune was never mine to give—it was yours all along, you just forgot to pick it up." His real mission? To wake her up to the love of life. In the end, Su Xiao hugs Xiaofu tight: "This time, I’ll be your Fortune Guardian."
